I've been sick as well.  Knocked me on my ass.  Done little on the bike this past week, but slowly getting back at it.

Right? Felt like I was crawling around lost on Dagobah, after being beaten by Wookies, feverish w/green sh*t shooting outta everywhere, head pressurized to 3200psi, otherwise not too bad.

Busy work in the shop today and the weather was nice to boot!

Buttoning up motor connections, tidying up random paraphernalia,  and looky here,

The spare skins all patched up and ready for paint, look pretty good and are a direct replacement for the primary set.

Went through the front calipers and new Motul 600 for them. Set the preload on the new steering head bearings. The rest of the glass going back on after an off season refresh,

Ready to take some Suzuki scalps and run amok with the midpack mutts. 🏁

Have you taken it out yet to see what it all feels like... Or is the snow too much of a hindrance?

I'm not a nut!

We did have the scooters out and with their fat tires they were a hoot on the snow and ice covered roads. Loads of fun dumping them and as they're only a few inches off the ground and slow they're cheap and painless to crash, lol.

But no, I have not done any race testing, yet. I do have parts coming and going for a new build tho.  Shhh.

Very well pieced together, I really like the fairings. If I'm being real I like all of it and I'd Love to ride it. I'll keep dreaming over here.

John McGuinness has helped show off Quattro Plant Bournemouth Kawasaki’s 2020 colours ahead of this year’s road racing campaign.McGuinness will make his first full-time switch to...

Here's his ride, as Norton goes into the shitter, killing itself and Spondon chassis builder:

You’re about to read the first in a series of interviews relating to the Norton story. The story is not a good one for the UK motorcycle industry.

If this needs to be moved by the Admin, Please go ahead. I was responding to a previous comment and I got carried away. Really annoyed..

So I figured out the Leo Vince can fits nicely under the exist bodywork and is a beautiful fit to the Yosh headers. There's no way I'm dragging this one in right handers.

IMG_20200304_173736.thumb.jpg.28c15046a1995be8ac82414ef899bf46.jpg

But it is so small I wonder about making noise limits in MotoAmerica. I won't be able to fire it up for testing for a while yet.

Holy size diff batman

Really nice piece of kit though.

Looking forward to trying to burn/blow this up like all my other cans.

I like the looks of that.... It looks "loud"!!!! You definitely won't be dragging it on right handers-   😎

Definitely won't drag, but might it cook your right boot a wee bit?

If there is a noise limit, you most likely will have issues.   It may make less power too.  It's a short system and some say length makes power.  But it does look bad ass.

Once I get some data from it I may mess some extensions, more is always better right?

I might have to try and get another dyno day like last year. Make up like 3, 6 & 10" extensions for this system and I could make some runs on the new bike too, hmmm... maybe set something on fire...Medic!

Just to be safe I did order another Yosh can

Get with @pgeldz, which I'm sure you have.  I think you will want to package a setup like his for max hp.

Fired it up tonite. Not as loud as I'd have thought. I can't tell if it's louder or not than the Yosh R22 can in the shop anyway. It doesnt have that lovely "Crack" of the Yosh when whacking it, more of a "Whomp". I won't know about WOT under load until raceday unfortunately.  Same for power charcteristics and throttle response, until we're on track or in the dyno room it's only a guess at this point.

The Yosh can showed up when I called it quits in the shop so maybe I'll get a chance to do some back to back soon.

Well looky here! I asked a friend a while back if his filter company cataloged a filter for the FZ/MT07 yet and was told "Not yet". Then this shows up today. They are constructed to meet or exceed all factory specifications and will beat any aftermarket filter in performance.

I'm gonna see if we can get a 'special buy' on these for forum members.

So I was stumbling thru some old dead seas scrolls from the 60's and found my Log of Life. My mother made 3 entries then mysteriously quit under 'Accidents'. I think she had discovered something and it was kept a secret from me for all these years, lol.

IMG_20200504_110325.thumb.jpg.7eda66451188d3cd6950ebc38ad0f0e7.jpg

They're all still there although somewhat hidden among the dozens more.

Thanks Mom, I miss you.

Ok, so this has gotten kinda outta hand what with the other bike build and all this research nonsense and experimentation and all.

IMG_20200603_212708.thumb.jpg.99774701f7fdf7c652cdc2722b26e5dd.jpg

To keep fresh and competitive I've decided to respring my JRi rear shock and add the extra Robem linkage I 'accidentally' ended up with to the ass end of my bike. Then to compliment that I've horse traded/flipped/traded some parts to end up with another set of Ktech 20ids forks sprung for Tony. The Andriani's are now retired and relegated to spares duty. They've been awesome but the time has come.

A little tweaking under the hood and we'll see what happens. 😈

And to update the Leo Vince moto gp can, the packing is already blown outta it but it continues to hang together. It's no louder at full power yet hides away neatly. It doesn't hurt fueling or throttle response and makes the same power as the Yosh can. We'll call this a win as it's less than half the price plus it looks wicked cool!

Got a package from Zoran at TWF today. The long awaited cams finally showed up from Web so he was able to finish his work and get the head to me. Valve job and lash set,

IMG_20200608_201341.thumb.jpg.bdd2fcfc3ff34cb9e9f9e75673aa11a6.jpg

Porting including the intake manifolds,

IMG_20200608_201435.thumb.jpg.47d9eb01c7e6522d04e6d863f9d53c8b.jpg

Web cams hiding in there,

Led Zeppelin and air conditioning in the shop, not a bad day,

Hopefully third time's a charm and Shawn can use this one to get into the 34's at RA.

People wonder why I take meds,

IMG_20200609_120459.thumb.jpg.d555a61da6274e2adf4d43661519dd47.jpg

Look closely at that pic...

They go in the back of my spare sprocket carrier and are sold separately.

IMG_20200609_121230.thumb.jpg.708c345292098d10617e052cc214e28e.jpg

How much was the carrier you ask? Twice+ the cost of the cush buttons.

IMG_20200609_121250.thumb.jpg.f7817b50bece86a762bb176b79c5d044.jpg

Oh, and by the way you need sprockets too.

Normally I don't whine about what everyone knows is an expensive sport but dayum.
