Had a great lunch at The Bend in Manchester. Talked like middle school girls about everynothing. Got an aluminum subframe, slipper clutch, underslung brake carrier w/Brembo caliper, Dymag rear wheel with custom spacers, caliper and sprocket carrier. Also got another exhaust can and some more bodywork I can fix up, woot! Sounds like a great day! All kinds of goodness!

mossrider
Might have to change the team name to Dumpster Dave's or Goodwill Racing, lol. I enjoy refurbishing fiberglass to save a few bucks to help offset the cost of the cool go fast goodies. Frees up shop space for Andy too. Curious to see how much weight this shaves too. Last time I weighed was at pittrace 2019 on MotoAmerica's scales I was 156kg with 2 gals of fuel onboard. I just wish my weight loss program was as effective as the bikes.

mossrider
Hot off the digital bathroom scale; stock FZ rear ready to race is 33lbs even, new Dymag ready to race is 28.2lbs. That's 4.8lbs unsprung weight, nice! Guessing the subframe will save another 5ish. Lightweight Assassin. The bike not me ya dummies.

If they don't know!! It never happened.. Right!!! Here I was all delighted with myself for doing a fork rebuild......... LMAO..

That's why my wife made the preemptive attack of taking me to AP's shop before I started 'clicking' out of control, lol. She had already set a prearranged limit on the trip that was far cheaper than my unsupervised shopping on the web. I hate it when I'm outsmarted by her. 1
Premium Member Evill_Ed Posted December 24, 2019 Premium Member Share Posted December 24, 2019 Personal shopping at AP with Andy beats mouse click shopping any day. Nice score on those parts. I’ve been trying to get in touch with Andy, I’d like to get some more AP parts, he’s hard to get a hold of. I had a "wishlist" at Revzilla, it's empty now. There really isn't anything else I want for it? I've never been as happy with any bike as I am with my FZ-07. I am currently setting my wife's R3 up for track duty. It's not as fun buying parts for a bike I don't ride..... 1 ""W.O.T. until you see god, then brake"

If you make the pledge to be done I will also. I have said I am done so many times just to need that one more thing. So, I am done until maybe next winter. The only thing left I would do is some head work and bore the throttle bodies. I too think this bike is the cat’s meow!
