It has some flexibility so it fits nicely over the throttle bodies. It turns out he had his printer temp set a little low, so he is going to try one at a higher temp. It hits a little under the R3 tank cover. The 5 inch long should fit fine. An access cover was needed to install the velocity stacks. In theory, different stacks can be installed while the air box is mounted on the bike. Mad Posted December 11, 2019 Share Posted December 11, 2019 I would have used a piece of carbon fiber a little smaller than the hole with a tpu gasket that locks in the hole ... but your solution is just so simple , I really like it and it's probably way better .. I purchased a 5 inch by 3 inch Uni filter which is slightly smaller than the K&N that I had on. Here are the sealing washers I will use to seal the fasteners that attach the fuel pump to the bottom of the tank. Rated for 3,000 psi, $3 each from McMaster-Carr. I don't have a metal shear, so the pieces are cut with a hacksaw. Not too bad, just takes time.
