imherefortheride
My wife and I took a 2,000 mile trip up the Oregon coast last week. It was our first week long moto camping trip and it was so much fun! Will complete a ride report, but for now a pic of the beautiful Oregon coast.

imherefortheride
So here's the story. I bought a new bike 6/7 and prepped it for the road trip to begin the next day. Sweet '06 FZ1, original owner, aluminum side cases with home-made brackets. Took 6 hours to install due to fitment issues. Yikes. But the other option was to ride an R6S with soft bags. With all our camp gear, I knew that wouldn't have worked. BIG shout to my buddy Ryan who helped with transport and installation of cases. Edit: I'm experimenting with IMGUR to see how big of pics I can attach. Stay tuned. Edited July 11, 2019 by imherefortheride
imherefortheride
I was able to carry our camping gear and food on the FZ1. My wife carried clothes and her sleeping bag on her FZ07. First stop in Palo Alto for dinner. We stopped in Healsburg, CA for a few nites at a hotel. Had a fun time riding around on bicycles. We rode up Hwy 101 to Eureka, CA. A lucky stop for gas which had a taco truck outside. Locals said it was the best taco truck in town! Cape Blanco turned out to be our favorite campsite. Secluded, quiet, and lush! The next day was up the coast to Florence, OR. We set up camp and went 2-up on the FZ07. A little taste of the twisting roads on Hwy 1! The next day we rode up to Tillamook, OR. We stayed near Lowell, OR that night and found a cool covered bridge in the morning. We headed back to CA and stopped at the Lava Beds Nat'l Monument. These little guys kept landing on us and it was super fun exploring the caves! Last stop was near Chester, CA. Loved the scenery and flowing rivers! See you next ride!
