mossrider
Good morning everyone! Another great day at the track. We won't talk about my race finishes, ahem 15th & 17th or something, lol. But who cares we're having a ball. Anyway, here's why we wear good gear. Rider walked away but I don't think this will buff out. Shaping up to be another beautimus day! I'd like to know the details behind the crash. It was just a fluke, after the flag collision involving 3 of 4 unlimited bikes (litre bikes) drag racing the final straight to the checkered flag. There was an initial contact, causing a secondary contact that tossed a rider. His/this bike ghost ridered itself off course into a wall north of 150mph or so. One of the other bikes went down, the third pulled off in the next corner damaged, the forth finished the cool down lap untouched/oblivious to all this. You are correct; not one salvageable part. All riders ok. Edited June 17, 2019 by mossrider
mossrider
Great weekend! Welcome to the track from BLR! 15th, 17th & 20th in my races. Nothing to cuddle this time. Extra large grids, fantastic racing and many new friends. My shock barfed so I sent it off for a rebuild. Always something to spend money on, lol. At least I had no tire bills this time around since I have MotoAmerica takes offs to use up . Wins all around! Gettin faster the deeper it gets... There were several new fz07r builds here to dial in. They're really getting quick. It's fun to compare my, original spec build with its first generation parts list to the current spec shiney stuff. I did get a chance to swap rides on some of the newer builds however. Their owners would agree BLR's unit is no slouch. It remains the benchmark in the paddock with a constant stream of new builders asking questions, taking notes, measurements and pics for reference. Here's the very first production R, serial 002 after a full make over. After Andy's prototype this is the one that started it all. Welcome back old girl. Takk skal du ha.
mossrider
Here's another fluke. My buddy had a tire come apart entering T1 at a buck fifty. Ended with a bizarre rear tire low slide as it gently laid down and around back end first. He came out unscathed with only a sore thumb. Holy buttslide batman, This new one is Curt's, from International Falls, MN (a suburb of Canadia). He's a real fast racer and super guy that did AMA Pro stuff a number of years back. He's one of the clubs race instructors and new rider coaches. Three races, three wins. Dick. It's got a realy cool paint scheme. He liked the traditional KR yellow bumblebee and the red so combined them. Good stuff right there. Edited June 17, 2019 by mossrider

Premium Member bornagainbiker Posted June 19, 2019 Premium Member Share Posted June 19, 2019 Too bad your neighborhood doesn't have a long straight stretch, where you could imagine a start/finish line. 1 Give Respect To Get Respect https://jeff-galbraith.pixels.com/

I do have a start/finish line painted on the street in front of the driveway, lol. I may or may not have a nearby test route, for tuning purposes only of course.

mossrider
Just hacked a bunch more xtree stuff outta the wire harness, ! There's a lot more I could take out but I only chop on it for therapeutic purposes. I'm in big trouble now. Wife caught me planning a track day on the drag strip at BIR with a buddy. My 4 over swingarm adaptors were nixed by the oversight committee and they may yank my race license too. I may have finally gone too far, oops. Yep, I'm thinking about dropping the front, putting a rigid link in the rear, a Shinko drag slick w/shorter gearing on the back and the extenders on the spare swingarm. Then doing some drag racing on the weekends I'm not road racing. Might be kinda fun. Especially since my performance is...sagging...

After a busy weekend competing in the MotoAmerica Dunlop Championship round at Road America here it is; 21st place. We were unable to get Nathan qualified on his Suzuki SV650 due to some mechanical issues but we got Tony out there on Blue Line Racings Yamaha FZ07R and had a wonderful time. Re-connected with some old friends, made some new ones and created some magnificent memories. Congratulations to all those on the podium and to those behind the scenes that made it possible. Ground zero; During National Anthem the whole back paddock stopped and faced this flag as it was the only one visable. Very cool to see a hundred people face the flag in a show of respect. And one of the worn out happy pit boss, On a related note, Blue Line Racing has entered into discussions for a possible full season of MotoAmerica Twins Cup for 2020. Stay tuned for details. IF, I can get my shet together this year, and this winter, I maybe joining you... God willing!
