How resistant to UV fading is this material? Is it something you're supposed to expect to last the life of the bike if its stored properly indoors or something you need to redo every couple years?

Depends on the vinyl but some colors fade worse than others. It is not a permanent solution and should be taken off anywhere from 3-5 years or else it adheres itself permanently to the parts and will start to look like crap over time and getting it off will be extremely hard.

Interesting.  I suppose that's the trade off.  $50 CAN and a few hours versus a few hundred for a proper paint job.  Although... you COULD always just rattlecan it 😀.  A good rattlecan job can look pretty decent!

If I was doing a solid color I would paint or get different plastics. With vinyl you can do patterns  and that’s why I did it. Also if you like to change it up often vinyl is the way to go.

Looks great! Glad to see someone on here with good results wrapping vinyl for the first time. I'm about to do my XSR in a carbon fiber vinyl wrap, everything but the tanks brushed aluminum panels. I would not have thought to have a second person for help. Hopefully I don't lose my sh*t trying to do this.

Looks awesome! Must have been tricky with all the curves of the fairing. Is the wrap just on the 3 fairings around the tank?
