vhooda
Hi 3 1 hour ago, norcal616 said: Have you checked the fuses next to the battery?? I seen you posted a picture of the fuse box on the side of the Tracer, but not the battery tray area... I have a Tracer900-a fuse box on side and another next to battery tray...you said you accidentally hooked up the battery wrong- happens to the best of us... That will blow the fuses next to the battery tray which has fuses for other electronics on the bike... See my picture posted...at bottom of picture you see 3 more fuse boxes, the clear one and 2 black ones..this is off my FZ-07... Hi, I have checked the three fuse boxes next to the battery, after I connected the battery wrong way. The main fuse blew off and I have replaced it, that powers the dashboard. So the clear one had one fuse gone off and the two black boxes have been checked. Is there a lean angle fuse on my bike and I do not know its location...Mind you I haven't dropped it, it was just a battery change and the engine management light was already showing before the battery was replaced. I hoped the battery change will resolve the engine light...

Premium Member norcal616 Posted April 21, 2019 Premium Member Share Posted April 21, 2019 My gas tank is on... That empty space where you can see my rear shock is where the stock airbox sits... Mine was sent to a new home when I join the Hordpower Army... The "tip over sensor" is located (mine) is just behind the rear most black box( has a clear connection with 6 wire spots and is approx the size of my rear most fuse box) mounted/bolted on some rubber washers... Push the center of that plastic tab in bout 2mm( you will feel it stop via a click)on the then can pull it out by the base, or use a small screw driver under the base to pop it out... When you pull the whole clip out, push that center pin back thru so you can re-use it... 1 2015 fz-07- Hordpower Edition...2015 fj-09- 120whp- Graves Exhaust w/Woolich Race Kit- tuned by 2WDW

If you are trying to remove the black plastic fastener this should help.
vhooda
Hi Again, After attempting to fix my bike I am left with a spare bolt... an idea where this is from? I have taken off left side faring and loosened few screws to take off the tank and for the life of me, I cannot remember where I took off the screw from (Short term memory problems) I know it looks like the screw holding the tank, which are in and secure. Bike is Tracer 700 See pics... Edited April 23, 2019 by vhooda

Bigturbomax
Check your starter solenoid. I recently fixed an FZ07 with the same symptoms. Bad solenoid will throw this code. When you press starter button, the computer sees that as a cranking request. If the solenoid is bad the engine wont spin(because the solenoid doesnt provide power to the starter) and thus the computer throws a crank sensor code. Logically the engine should spin when starter button is pressed but the computer on this bike isnt that smart so it assumes the lack of crank signal is a bad sensor, when in reality there is no crank signal because the engine didnt crant. Make sense? Also. Dont assume the solenoid is good just because it doesnt have a lot of miles. The one i repaired belonged to @Lunchbox87km. It only had around 800 miles at the time but had been sitting for about a month. Battery was fine. vhooda
Ok sorted, I needed a starter relay... some bloke took my bike and fixed it. I do not actually know what starter relay means but it was easy enough to fix and charged me £160... Is it the same a solenoid valve. My Licence is not yet arrived but eager to get on ride once it arrives. I am epileptic. If you can can you send me a picture of starter relay!

I do not have a picture of the relay but here is a part diagram (it is part # 3) along with the owners manual page about it. £160 to remove the seat and replace a £25 relay seems a bit excessive.
vhooda
It included pick up and delivery, near Tregaron about 20 miles away. 2hrs of labour to find the fault and 2 Lts of fuel as I had drained the fuel before. Thanks

Thanks That sounds more reasonable then, especially with how much fuel costs over there .
