Bloo's Build! '18 MT-07

Hey gang, Mark here!

As some of you know, I purchased a brand new 0 mile 2018 MT-07 in early January. It was the last 2018 model on the floor and I walked away with, what I believe was, a great deal.

Below are some photos showing the progress of things I've done so far. I still have a LONGGG way to go before I'm "completed" and I'm sure once I reach that point, I'll want to change it completely 😅🏍🙈

Hope you all enjoy and look forward to getting additional info and tips from you all!

Here we have the Stock Levers vs the Womet-Tech Shorty Levers I installed. The OEM Signals vs the Mech-GTR signals I have and also painted the vents black. and lastly, the Stock Tail Light vs the TST Integrated Tail light.

Some more new parts.

Womet-Tech Case Saver and Engine Slider. Womet-Tech Frame Sliders and Fork Sliders. Gilles Tooling Sprocket Cover. Spears Racing Keyless Gas Cap!

Next up should be Gilles Tooling Chain Adjusters and then Exhaust, Filter, Quickshifter, and Tune! (Unless of course, I come across a killer deal on some suspension pieces) 😈😈🏍

That is looking good.  It is nice to see that you realize it will never be "completed".  I thought I was done a while back, but now I know better ;).   I recommend suspension upgrades and an ECU flash.  Those are my favorite mods.

Well...... everyone is different. I'm going on a year since I made any changes. I have no plans on doing anymore upgrades to my FZ. This website gave me all the tips I needed to do what I call the sensible upgrades that would cover motor performance, handling and safety. Anything beyond that, IMHO I would call crazy/OCD. Better way to say it - I would sooner buy a KTM 790 Duke before dumping more cash into my FZ 😁

Having said that, here are my changes which add up to about $1500:

Motor Performance

2WDW Flash

MWR air filter

R6 throttle tube

Handling

Bitubo XZE11 shock

Sonic Fork Springs/heavier oil

Michelin PR4 tires

EBC HH front pads

Safety - Me/Bike

Evotech radiator guard

Shogun frame sliders

OES axle sliders

Mad Hornets levers

Dart Manta windscreen

Barkbuster Storm hand guards

Mirror extenders

Blindspot mirrors

Osram Night Racer light bulb

Denali Soundbomb Mini Horn

I like what you've done so far, especially the TST tail light, I have one in clear. That's about the best thing anyone can do to help get them noticed from the rear if people are looking where they should be. Just a suggestion, some people like and keep the stock mirrors and buy extensions to improve their visibility but if you want to make a bigger improvement you can widen your field of view with some nice CRG, convex, bar end mirrors. They help a lot in spotting cars in other lanes and no one will mistake your bike for Mickey Mouse. Not that there's anything wrong with Mickey Mouse.

Suspension and ECU flash are next on the list being that the chain adjusters are already ordered and paid for. More than likely going with Ohlins rear, Andreani Front Fork Cartridges, and then FTEcu reflash along with their quick shifter. And I'm sure after that it will lead to rotors, pads, and lines. Never ending 😅

Looks like you've got the perfect daily ride build! I've been looking at headlights and everyone seems to use the Cyclops one?? I've changed out the aux lights to LEDs so I need something to match.

I've actually got a Womet-Tech bar end mirror on the left side of the bike. I only run one mirror and keep my head on a swivel.

That seems a little risky but it's yours. I take different risks myself, like riding without much gear sometimes.

I wonder if they would fit the 2015. Seem's like a very good price for bar end mirrors.

Haha, we're definitely on opposite ends! I always ride with gear but I've always only used one mirror.

They should! They're universal with an expanding chamber that fits into the bars/clip-ons.

So you have a link for that swivel? 😉

Was bored today and after trying to decide what's the next round of parts I decided to remove my passenger pegs and do a rear brake reservoir delete. Overall, very happy with how well it cleaned up the rear and now it will push me to get a seat cowl. 😉😅

Love the TST integrated tail light - I have one as well and it looks amazing! Also have the same front signals as well. Good stuff, keep it coming!

Nice! What's next on the list? I just got akro ti and shorty levers last week. DNA/baffle out with ecu flash coming soon!

Radiator guard, seat cowl, and headlight are next cosmetically but the next big purchases will be suspension probably. Still trying to figure out which exhaust route I want to go down. Regardless of exhaust, I'll be tuning with FTEcu along with their quick shifter, and MWR air filter.

Quick video I filmed showing a timelapse of the first mods I did! I'll more than likely just do a pan-around of all the crash protection components being that I didn't film those installs.

DISCLAIMER: My place of work, TST Industries, does not offer tuning or dyno services. This is something we do in-house for our own race bikes, product R&D, and employee bikes (for shits and giggles). For all tuning and dyno needs, please contact the forum vendor @2wheeldynoworks and they will work to get you and your bike set-up for the best performance.

Decided to throw Bloo up on our Dyno under the stock exhaust, filter, and ECU. I should mention I'm running 89-91 pump gas. (91 when available, otherwise, 89 compared to 87).

Next, I plan on getting an ecu reflash with 93 gas and the stock exhaust, air filter.

Then it will be ecu flash with 93 gas and exhaust and the last step will be ecu flash, 93 gas, exhaust, and MWR air filter.

My goal is to put out as much factual data as possible for people to see what each modification does in terms of power with respect to each complimenting modification. There's a lot of misleading information out there so I think this would be beneficial.

TLDR; my bike makes 68.49hp/48.94tq with stock exhaust, 89 gas, stock air filter and no tune.

Is that with or without airbox snorkel?

Completely stock with airbox snorkel. I haven't touched the exhaust, air filter, or ecu on this run.

Do you guys have tuning services available or is it just for TST/employee's bikes? I've been trying to find a local shop with a good reputation around me with no luck.
