Other manufacturers would use a decal that with labor to install would cost less than a dollar probably. I worked at a glass bottle manufacturing plant for a couple of years after college and one department consisted of women who sat on bar stools for eight hours watching bottles straight out of the kiln go by fast on a conveyor belt in front of a row of strong fluorescent lamps. Occasionally they would flick a defective bottle off the belt. Some did it for decades according to my older brother who worked there for thirty years himself.
