If an electric bike isn't making pollution but the electric company that charges it's batteries is then what's the difference in the carbon foot print? If run on coal, I believe it is 4-6 years. That's global, taking into account production pollution, use and recycling. If I used it to ride into town and back , there would be no fuel cost for me, nor fuel carbon footprint. I would ride it BECAUSE it is ...er...unusual looking. But then that's me, pretty much. But I agree, the aesthetics are not inspiring. Looks like those aero designed rivetted aluminium chairs or the ( unusable) Italian designed aluminium lemon squeezer with spider legs.
