Recommended Posts

Hey everyone! New to the forum and I am picking up my 2018 MT 07 on Monday (bike is still in the crate) and am wanting to jump right into some modifications. I am not sure what from the FZ 07's will fit the MT 07 so if you can guide me with links or pictures for:

Tail tidy

Radiator guard

Axle sliders

engine sliders/bars

windscreens

handlebar ends

Not looking to break the bank but want to see what is out there. TIA!

Welcome aboard. You'll love the bike.

I'll abstain from any mods advice since I did break the bank and bike several times over, lol.

Cheers!.

Tail Tidy and windscreen mounts will need to be specific to the 2018 model.

The radiator guard I'm not sure about.

The rest of your list should work fine with any 2014-2017 model accessories.

Thanks, I started looking into it and found that the tail tidy should fit the same as the previous models, but you are correct about the wind screen. My Brother got the Tracer 900 GT and has been helping me find what or if parts will fit but I was wondering if anyone has done mods to their 18 so I can see what they look like and where to get them from :D

Welcome. We're glad you joined and happy to have you here. I have an 18 MT-07 that I got in July in that same color. There is a lot of useful information on mods. I have done the radiator guard and adjustable shorty levers on mine since my bank stays broke and these were relatively inexpensive on eBay.

I bought the Moto Dynamic fender eliminator:

T-Rex racing makes a nice crash protection pack:

I will be picking up this radiator guard soon:

Here's a windscreen that should fit, they also have a shorter version:

Welcome to where the cool kids hang out... Not sure if your in the market for a shock? I have an OHLINS STX46 for sale in the classifieds. I'm just upgrading to next level shock. I'm turning my FZ-07 into a dedicated race/track bike, and need just a little more. The STX46 is REALLY nice for street use!

Hey everyone! My sister started this post and I am her brother (thanks for the add). I do the motorcycle work for the family and actually made her create a login to get her excited and to know more about parts and mods and info about the bike! (then I joined because i figured i could learn about it as well) The pick up went smooth. We got to the dealership a little late but they stayed after for us.

We had them lower the front end a little (15mm) to help my mom and sister to flatfoot it a little more confidently. $7990ish OTD with no mods added on. we ordered an amazon rad guard, and TST slider kit, rim reflectors, and a EU tail tidy from Ebay already.

I took my mom up there on my bike and we took the long way home for some brake in miles. Here is a picture at the dealership with my Tracer 900gt in the background

Welcome to the FZ/MT-07 family.  I'll refrain from any "Your Mom" jokes out of respect to her as a fellow rider. ✌️

Don't forget to remove the tank's warning sticker for that extra 5hp. 😆

My, how technology changes so fast, taking off that same sticker just a couple years ago only produced 3 extra. It's almost doubled now! 😀

just did the tail tidy and bar end, and both axle sliders yesterday but got rained out before I could do the engine sliders. they need to ride it more, though! Its only at 75 miles (of course the storms here dont help anything). I put 600 miles in 6 days on my 900 GT so they better get cooking if they want to catch up!
