Soundbear
Hi all, Has anyone considered installing the Scottoiler auto chain lubing system? http://www.scottoiler.com/us/vsystem/vsystem.html The instructions talk a bunch about finding a "vacuum connection." Any idea what that might be? Otherwise, looks pretty straightforward.

Cruizin
Ok, I went to the Scottoiler website and found this for the vacuum model oiler that fit's the FZ-07. Vacuum is nice because it stops dripping oil when you shut the bike off. Looks like a sweet system that will save a lot of chain maintenance. looks to be an easy install. just wondering if anyone is running one that can give a real world review. Cruizin
I honestly haven't seen anyone here do this yet. Kinda surprised actually. Yamaha MT-10 ForumYamaha Tracer 900 Forum Yamaha Ténéré 700 Forum

ralph
Had them on other bikes and they do work, got one in the garage but don't intend fitting it to the 07 as I find it just as easy to dip a brush in a bit of engine oil and splodge it on the chain. faffi
I use WD40 on my chains. Done it for ages after on acquaintance got 77,000 km on a set of chain and sprockets on his ZX-11/ZZR1100. I use a bit on a rag, wipe he chain clean, spray WD40 and wipe off again. My Z650 is still doing fine after 30,000 km and there is a lot less mess.
