Beautifully made and allow some rear geometry changes as well as being much lighter. https://www.extremecreations.com.au/mt-07-jack-up-plates Also check out Sigma slippers. I really liked the action of these. Why a chain with seals for the track. A good racing chain with no seals is lighter and has less friction. Because the seals have to fit between the plates, the pins have to be longer, so the chain is heavier. Keeping a race chain lubed is easy. I used to use quality unsealed MX chains. I assume you are going 520? Carbon disk sounds interesting but will it be able to get and stay hot enough to work. Weight saving is always good of course. There are some ceramic disks available as well but haven't seen them for a while. Also much lighter but don't have to get as hot to work. Have fun. Most jealous... It's longer than OE so you can dispense with the AP link. Same price as the normal -R. There is Nitron too of course. Chopped off the end to fit the AP fairings.... this is what i have removed so far, along with the front Steering Lock and the wiring tracer the forks have arrived! The Steering Stops need to be extended. From this.... To this.... Most jealous... i was considering of just laser cutting a few Aluminum disk rotors for a 1 time use kinda thing.... i dont use my rear brake at all, only when i hit grass. gregjet Posted July 13, 2018 Share Posted July 13, 2018 Al cut from a sheet will have unfortunate crystal structure and may actually warp with the application of braking heat. Not positive but when they first started putting discs on MTB's a few people made AL discs and they would heat up warp and jam.
