Hi everyone.  About a week ago, I picked up my new 2017 FZ-07 (Rapid Red with ABS).  This is my fifth motorcycle and joins a Honda CTX700 and Triumph Trophy in my garage.  The FZ is quicker than the cruiser-style CTX700 and more nimble than the 700 pound sport-touring Trophy.  It's a very nice change of pace.  (I've also owned a Ninja 650 that I traded in for a Versys 1000 that I traded in for the Trophy.  I'm happy to share my opinions about any of these bikes.)

I've added three accessories that others might find useful.  They are all available on Amazon.

1.  FOBO Bike TPMS Sensors.  I really like to know my tires are at the right pressure before every ride.  These sensors, which use Bluetooth to work with just about any smart phone, make it super easy to check.

2.  Cortech Super 2.0 10L Magnetic Tank Bag.  This is a small bag that (IMHO) looks really good on the FZ-07.  I used some neodymium magnets underneath the fuel tank covers to keep the tank bag in place.  You can find the magnets by searching for applied magnets n52 1.26 x 1/8 on Amazon.  These magnets are incredibly strong so handle them with care.

3.  Areyourshop WindScreen.  This windscreen looks very similar to the sport-sized Puig screen but costs less than $30.   Some reviewers have complained about the included mounting hardware, but mine installed pretty painlessly.  It does take some of the wind off my chest at highway speeds.

Welcome and congrats! Thanks for the info! I'd bought a small, magnetic tank bag a couple years back and haven't used it because even though it did hold to the plastic panels some I knew it wouldn't be enough if a good blast of wind caught it and I didn't want to use the mini bungee cords to hold it on so it's sat in a box since I bought it. My question is did you simply put the magnets on the metal part of the gas tank in alignment with the magnets on your tank bag or did you attach the magnets underneath to the plastic panels with something like clear, silicon Permatex or do you think either way would work fine? Attaching to the metal tank would be the easiest way and less messy of course.

I like Cortech stuff but at the time I spotted this bag and went with it. It's small like how I wanted it to be. I don't know if it's even 10L, ha! It only gives dimensions: 13 Inch L x 7.5 Inch W x 5 Inch H and beware to anyone interested in it, it doesn't hold an iphone, the pocket is too small.

The magnets I described (which can be found at http://a.co/ex55dEy) are strong enough to work even if you just position them on the metal part of the gas tank.  As I mentioned be careful when using them.  If you leave two of these magnets about a foot apart on a wooden surface they will snap together with enough force to shatter one or both of them.

The first picture is of the FZ-07 with the Cortech tank bank.  You can find the bag at http://a.co/5SyX41w.

The second is of the Areyourshop Windscreen.  The windscreen is smaller than it looks at this angle.  You can find it at http://a.co/cKWhmyF.  Amazon has some other vendors selling similar windscreens for about the same price.

The third is of the FOBO TPMS sensor screwed onto my valve stem.  You can find the sensor at http://a.co/6Ik7W6N.  The FOBO company web site is https://my-fobo.com/.

Thanks, I'll be careful and I've actually already ordered a pack.

Got me thinking about the magnets.  You mount them directly to the gas tank or did you mount to the inside of the plastic?

I started by gluing the magnets to the inside of the plastic but at least one of them pulled free and is now on the gas tank.  It works just as well as the ones that are still stuck on the plastic.  Beemer just ordered the same magnets for his own tank bag.  You may want to see if his experience is the same as mine before proceeding.

He isn't lying! I was holding one and put another other on the table close to a foot away and the damn thing slid across the table (was a blur) and pinched the hell out of my finger when it slammed back onto the magnet I was holding. I had to use pliers to hold the one and a knife to pry them apart. Strong lil' sob's so yes, be careful!

I haven't put them on yet but when I do I already have some clear, silicon Permatex that I'll use to secure them to the underside of the plastic, they shouldn't go anywhere after it sets up.
