    Kawasaki Z900RS Unveiled

Here's an image and video of the new Z900RS. Looks like this could be retro done right IMHO.
  3. My first street bike was a 1972 Yamaha DS7 250 that I rode the hell out of for several years, and I still remember how fun and zippy that little smoker was. What was your first street bike? Unfortunately I don't have a pic of my bike, but here is one I grabbed off the net. It looks just like mine did back in the day.
  4. How much do you love your FZ-07 on a scale of 1 - 10? One being not at all, and ten being it's the best bike ever. Personally I would rate my FZ an 8 overall--it does have some suspension shortcomings. That being said, I would rate it a 10 in the fun department. How would you rate your FZ?
  5. A great article on one of the craziest bikes from the 70s: https://www.motorcyclistonline.com/two-stroke-1972-kawasaki-mach-iv-h2-triple-widowmaker-classic-motorcycles-review-roots?

  13. Hey All, For those of you who have to store your bike over winter, when was your last ride of the season. I generally try to hang on until the bitter end, and managed to get my last ride in on December 8th. When was your last ride of the season?

    RD 400 Daytona Special

    A great article on Yamaha's 1979 RD400 Daytona Special: https://www.motorcyclistonline.com/1979-yamaha-rd400-daytona-special-two-strokes-rd400f-roots?

  16. My kind of flying doctor:
  17. I stored my bike for the winter today in an unheated storage shed, and was wondering if it is better to put a cover over it or not? I have heard that covering it in these conditions may trap moisture and promote rust, but it also keeps it cleaner--free of cobwebs, dust etc. Last year I threw an old blanket over the bike, now I'm wondering if I should just let it sit naked in the shed? Any thoughts on this subject fellow members?

    FZ-07 Wish List?

With Christmas fast approaching, I was wondering what fellow members have on their FZ-07 wish list. Here's my list: 1) Heated grips 2) Front suspension upgrade 3) Rear suspension upgrade 4) Aftermarket exhaust 5) ECU flash to go with aforementioned exhaust It will probably only take me about five to ten Christmases to complete this list. LOL
  20. When I first saw the XSR 700 I wasn't a fan of the look, but the more I looked at the XSR 700 the more I got to thinking it's not that bad looking except for that "coffee can" headlight. Here's a couple of pics to compare: one with the stock headlight and one with a more aesthetically pleasing headlamp. Now I'm beginning to think that the XSR 700 has retro style potential after all. What say You?

    Late Season Ride

Still hanging on even though the riding season is winding down here. Went for a ride along the Saint John River road today. It was overcast, cool and blustery, but I still enjoyed the ride immensely.
  22. Personally, I try to ride everyday during our season (April to November), but I don't always manage to get out, still I probably manage to get a ride in at least 5 times a week. How often do you ride your motorcycle?
  23. I bought the Alpinestars Yari Drystar gloves recently and thought that I would give my first impressions of them. I bought these gloves for colder weather riding and have used them in temps down to 2 degrees celsius. They perform quite well down to about 5 degrees celsius, but below that temp fall a bit short in the warmth department. The fit and finish of these gloves is decent, plus they are comfortable and offer good dexterity. The sizing runs a bit small: I usually wear a large, but an extra large in these gloves fit just right. https://fortnine.ca/en/alpinestars-yari-drystar-gloves
  24. Does this video accurately reflect the current state of motorcylcle journalism? Personally, I have noticed that a lot of new bike reviews do sound awfully similar. Thoughts, opinions?
