So I recently bought a 2017 fz07, and just recently it's been allowing me to shift from gear to gear without me pulling in the clutch lever, it does this at any rpm and the throttle can be anywhere. I can shift through all the gears like the clutch isnt engaged at all. When I pull in the clutch I lose power as I should, and if I release the clutch the bike jerks as you would expect it to. When its in gear it acts like it is supposed to. No loss of power or anything like that. I have no idea what could be wrong with it, I'm stumped. The thing only has 6k miles on it. I checked clutch freeplay and it seems good too.
Walked out to my bike to re-install the ECU and discovered a mess. It looks like a squirrel got under the cover, left a peanut under my starter and then chewed through my wiring harness. Bike cranks but won't start. 5d__21 code on the dash, so I'm guessing one set of wires is coolant temp sensor. See attached pictures but there's one trashed connector on the back of the block just under the airbox with blue/black and green/white wires. These might just be able to be soldered back together. There's another destroyed connector just next to the starter. Triangular shaped, with a blue/yellow wire, white wire, and possible another though I can't tell. This connector itself is scratched up and may need to be replaced. Let me know if you anyone has suggestions for fixing it. I have an extended manufacturer warranty that I may to try making a claim on but I tend to doubt they cover animal attacks... lol
Hey guys, only been riding for a year now and just got a 2015 FZ07 used. I bought some new bar sliders and am having some trouble and don't quite know what to do. http://imgur.com/a/ecRgm I've uploaded a few pictures, one side is completely empty and the other has some other sort of threading. I'm not sure what to do or to look for. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
So its that time where the shop gave me shet at 8k and then i waited till 12k tune up, then they refused to ride it and now its 15k and I've decided it probably is time for a new pair of tyres, but that said I like the long lasting mileage tyres that have a little bit of sport to them as most of my riding is commuting (about 1 weekend a month if that is dedicated to twisties these days : /). Anyways it has come down to the T30s and the PR4s and as far as I have read on other sites people mostly only seem to have ridden one pair, that being the PR4s who weren't asked to review them for whatever reason. With that said, has anyone actually ridden both and has a strong opinion? Would love to hear about it. two tyres in question: https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/michelin-pilot-road-4-rear-tires https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/bridgestone-t30-evo-tires
