  1. I ride in 36c degree heat blasting at me in Thailand and I swear by my Olympia Air glide jacket. Flows more air than anything and has great fit and functionality. I have looked for better but haven't found it. Certainly not at such a great price. https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/olympia-airglide-5-jacket?gclid=Cj0KCQjw8b_MBRDcARIsAKJE7ln82Qetaf2fRsXKHptjL6g9XZ4CWrAnuTaWp45rXGlx7Y1Gf93rCKUaAlVeEALw_wcB
  2. I have been running with a 303 without issue. My two cents.

    Rotella it is...

Which Rotella are you quoting as not being wet clutch compliant because I use T4 Diesel and it is well rated above minimum wet clutch requirements.

    Rotella it is...

diesel Rotella is perfectly safe and tested to be safe in wet clutch applications. My dad was the head of lubricants for Shell and he knows better than most anyone what will work.Diesel is simply put better at higher temperature longer than regular oil. Who wouldn't want that in their bike? That's rhetorical btw.
  5. If you lack experience and confidence on a bike I might suggest a Honda CB500F. Similar style and won't overpower you... also a lot more forgiving of your learner mistakes. Has abs
  6. I went with the Dainese armoured under shorts and they breathe great and fit comfy. Be sure to get at least a size up from what you normally wear though
  7. My chain tension is spot on. I did switch oil last night to Shell Rotella triple T 15w40 the diesel rated stuff with wet clutch approval and the shifts have been a lot smoother all day.
  8. My riding ergonomics are really good. One of the reasons I like the bike is it fits my preferred riding position. My foot isn't prematurely lifting or not fully disengaging the lever on shifts. Maybe I am shifting too low on the rpm around town? I will switch to new synthetic oil asap.
  9. I have 4000 km did the factory service and had factory oil installed at 1500 km. Yes I can run the gears at a stand still without the engine running without difficulty
  10. I have zero issues 3-4-5-6. It's always 1-2. So not thinking the shifter is too low. I adjusted the cable but still happening. I am at 4000 km. The chain is good. Really not enjoying this.
  11. Been happening increasingly the past month. About every 40 shifts up I am not getting into second gear no matter my speed. Is it me or the bike? Been riding a good amount of time and don't think it's me being lazy on up shifts. So what's the remedy please?
  12. I would definitely get a larger super tourer like the tenere that would allow me multiple 6+ days in a row in the saddle. Can't beat long haul comfort. The FZ-07 is fine for 5 hours and under once in a while but gets blown around in the wind too much and lacks a large enough gas tank for a tourer. And that terrible seat!

    Got Hit

Never put any comments about your state as a result of the accident online. Could be used against you. Also Shoei has an accident replacement discount for cases like yours I do believe. So ask the dealer and Shoei before you buy. Sorry to hear about your accident. Get well soon.
  15. I ordered off eBay a left and right rotation set of bolts and mirror risers. The right side mirror accepted a bolt and riser without issue. The left side mirror bolt hole won't accept either bolt (?). The mirror screws on in a clockwise rotation. Standard bolt right? I am clearly confused why the second bolt won't screw in when the package is marked 'all thread tested. One is reverse thread and one is standard thread'. Even if I take the bolt off the right mirror it won't screw in. What am I missing understanding here please.
