  1. reboot

    Sitting on Bike While Parked

I have done this on all my bikes, never had a problem. I am about 150lb wet. As long as you are not jumping around or practicing stationary stunting I think you should be fine.
  2. reboot

    Bell qualifier

See no reason it would not be since it is DOT. I am looking at the bell qualifier DLX which is DOT,ECE and comes with Transitions Adaptive Shield. My current helmet is an AGV and have had no issues. I think it was DOT and snell2000.
  3. reboot

    current order status

Damn that's pretty major glad you are ok and doing well! Anything comes up you got my number.
  4. Good to hear as I like the TST a little more then the MD one. I already have LED indcators running on a LED flasher relay so I should be good! Thanks again!
  5. reboot

So I got a fkn ticket

I will hoon it up with the best of them, but to be blunt you kinda brought that on yourself imo. I have not been hit with any tickets while on my bike, but I tend to hit up old back roads when I have the itch to hoon. I don't know the laws in MI,but is that something a cop could impound you for(exp tag and no proof of ins)?
  6. Can anyone with the TST tail light answer this for me? Looking at the YT vids it looks like when on signal it bleeds over to the other side, making it look like both indicators are lit/flashing. Is this true or not? I really like the look of the TST but I don't want someone to be confused on which way I am indicating. Vid in question
  7. reboot

    current order status

@pattonme I hope all is well on your side and I know you probably have a metric ton of retro fit kits to do but I need to see about a status update on mine,I sent you a pm but not sure if you got it or not. PM me back or feel free to shoot me a call (number is in PM).
  8. Glad to see someone that post when things are fixed...You should see the tech world of forums...so many posts with no ends. Really glad you got it figured out!
  9. All my other bikes I have ran what it called for in the manual, never had an issue but I do not let the bike sit with old fuel. I do run fuel stabilizer if I can't get my hands on clear fuel. I do run 93 clear in my FZ07 due to my tuner suggesting it with the items and tune I have on the bike and I have a close by station that sells clear. In a pinch I will throw non-clear in it,I just don't let it sit with it for very long. Before tuning I ran 87 with zero issues. Long story short unless you are required to run a higher grade due to mods,no point in running higher grade then what the manual calls for. If you can't get clear fuel, just don't let the bike sit too long with out adding a stabilizer or running the fuel out.
  10. I don't need the resistors as I am running a LED friendly flash relay already since I switched the indicators to LED a while back. Who in their right mind would want to keep the OEM fender? That was the first thing I removed and replaced with an MD eliminator. I am leaning to MD's setup. I like the indicator a little more then the TST setup, from the videos it looks like the TST tail light has a bit of light bleed when indicating. Funny how I ended up right back at the same light I was going to buy a few months back.
  11. Kinda my thought as well. From the pics I found on ebay and the web I am not sure the tail light is as bright as I would like. Also all the "cheap" ones seem to only have a few rows of LEDS for braking and a row or two for signal,so you end up getting a pretty small stopping and signaling indicator, which is a big issue for me. Guess I need to decided on the MD or TST light now....
  12. Currently bored and looking at what else I can do to my bike. I currently have a MD fender eliminator kit with small LED signals but I really like the all in one tail lights. I Know the MD tail light is good but has anyone used these Chinese tail lights from ebay? At around $30 I may just pick one up and try. Really hard to tell how bright it may be and I am sure they don't have any programming. What do you think, pick one up or just get the MD light which I know will be good? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Integrated-LED-Tail-Light-Turn-signal-For-Yamaha-MT-07-MT07-FZ-07-2014-2015-2016-/272488511441?fits=Model%3AFZ07&var=&hash=item3f7194b7d1:m:mygMNCnYMBJpiXof26PfCYQ&vxp=mtr http://www.ebay.com/itm/LED-Tail-Light-with-Turn-Signal-Integrated-for-Yamaha-MT-07-R25-R3-2013-2016/142190293182?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D41375%26meid%3D930964e99f32438494bb9301dfc68490%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D131819947775 http://www.ebay.com/itm/ABS-Integrated-Rear-Tail-Turn-Signal-Light-For-YAMAHA-YZF-R25-R3-MT07-2015-2016/291981151386?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D41375%26meid%3D930964e99f32438494bb9301dfc68490%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D4%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D131819947775
  13. reboot

    Hating the horn button

Strange...my horn button is on the right hand side. When I use it I get a very loud "Braap" that seems to make people move. Jokes aside the horn button is in such a bad place. I have toyed with relocating it,just have not sat down with it yet.
  14. reboot

    Does My Exhaust Leak?

It will be like a new bike! 2WDW flash is great!
  15. I would just ignore him. Van was 100% at fault, not even a blinker. You are legally lane splitting at the posted limit(Or lower, not sure if the limit is higher there) and other than diving to the other side of the road to keep from crashing you were riding predictable and visible. And on top of it, it looks like that van moved across two lanes to do that too.. Side note,I wish it was legal to lane split here in OR.
