    Seat too hard

If you are getting the saddle part as "leather" make sure you condition it before it rains. I used Leather Honey Leather Conditioner and it was great! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003IS3HV0/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I was only bruised up a little. Something to be said for riding gear. Skin does not grow back and my riding pants sacrificed themselves and thus saving me a ton of pain. I still miss my FZ-07 terribly. I put on 19,000 miles in 18 months.

    Seat too hard

I have a Corbin and put about 10,000 miles on it last year. I was also able to complete a Saddle Sore 1000 around lake Superior last June 2017(A SS1K is 1,000 mi in 24 hrs). It took about 3 weeks to "break-in". Unfortunately, I totaled the bike last August but there was no damage to the seat so I kept it.

    Lake Superior Saddle Sore 1000

It is a Corbin. I am not a small man and the seat was too narrow and I had some issues going on down there. I added a Bead Rider and that took care of the issues for daily riding. I only use the Airhawk when I go on longer rides. (more than 500 miles) On a side note, about three weeks after this trip I crashed and totaled the bike. The seat was undamaged and I will probably look to sell it. See this post. https://fz07.org/thread/127/yamaha-fz-07-today?page=583&scrollTo=125241
  4. Thanks Caliesv. Physically fine. Emotionally torn. It was a week ago today. I was pretty sore for about five days. Nothing is broke but I messed my wrist up pretty bad.
  5. I recycled mine today. They came and towed it away this morning.

  8. The Lake Superior Saddle Sore 1,000 Iron Butt ride with a scheduled start of Saturday June 24, 2017 at 6:30AM. The plan was to ride our motorcycles around Lake Superior counter clockwise arriving back in Sault Ste. Marie, MI in less than 24 hours and 1,049 miles later. They guy I went on the ride with wrote a really nice write up. You can read it at the below link with pics and video. Enjoy! http://www.fordmotorcycleclub.org/ride-recap-2017-06-23-through-2017-06-25-lake-superior-iron-butt-sault-ste-marie-mi/

Good luck. There is some good info on their site about completing it safely. I am planning to ride the Lake Superior Iron Butt on June 24th-25th. http://members.triton.net/vandenbe/LKSuperior1K.htm You can find an Iron Butt event near you at http://ironbutt.com/events.cfm

    Jerky throttle?

Another recommendation is to wrap your hand grips in tennis racquet grips. This will increase the diameter of the hand grips causing you to have to roll on the throttle more. It makes acceleration a little more smoother.

    Jerky throttle?

I second, third, and fourth recommend the 2wheeldynoworks ECU flash. My MGP dropped from 52 to 50. For what you gain from the flash it is worth the loss. IMO. I hated the fuel cut off on deceleration. The flash took care of that.

Every time I commute to work i put on 120 miles. I work in Dearborn. Road to work twice last week. All in all, I bought my fz-07 on March 8th and now I have 11,000+ miles on it. On another note, I just got back from a trip to Texas (trailered down there 25.5 hrs.) where me and 7 others rode 750 miles over two days, which included the Three Sisters. http://www.motorcycleroads.com/75/555/Texas/The-Three-Sisters-(AKA-The-Twisted-Sisters)--Ranch-Roads-335-336337a.html#sthash.wnrQvJwv.dpbs
