dpc46
I wanted some type of phone mount. I took my mirrors off and was trying to find something that used the factory mirror mounts. After going to my local shop I ended up with this. It's a "Ram Mount". In all its 3 separate pieces I had to buy. I looked into different areas of mounting but this is what I ended up with. I was a little worried about losing by phone but Ive done several 100+mph runs and done plenty of wheelies and my phone hasn't moved at all. For backup I used a rubber band to make sure it doesn't go any where. I paid about $60 total. I know for a fact I got raped in the price at the local store so look online if this is something you like [/url][a style=height:20px;width:40px;opacity:0.85;border:none;background-color:transparent;background-image:url(data:image/png][/a][a style=height:20px;width:40px;opacity:0.85;border:none;background-color:transparent;background-image:url(data:image/png][/a]
drey
I was wondering how to attach the Ram Mount to the FZ-07. I have one on my Honda Grom... but that was easy. The ball mounted to the bar mount. Thanks!

ryan4130
The phone part is an x-grip. They have an xl-sized x-grip as well. The next piece is a 1" ball ram mount extension arm, which they make in carrying lengths. The bike mount piece varies... Some people do a u-bolt with the ball on it. First time I've seen this method though, I like it '15 FZ-09 Cadmium Yellow '15 White Fz-07 - Sold

First time I've seen this method though, I like it+1 Me too I mounted the RAM x-grip (use in ALL my vehicles) using the u-bolt handlebar adapter and I don't really care for how I can set/position it. There isn't much handlebar "real estate" and I don't think the brake M/C clamp adapter would be much better… On my other bikes I was able to mount to the handlebar clamp M8 screws. Premium Member fz07fanboy Posted June 12, 2015 Premium Member Share Posted June 12, 2015 This is how I mounted mine using the U-BOLT. It doesn't interfere with the display. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a246/Paul_Anthony_Robinson/Mobile%20Uploads/20150513_184819_zpswfspjbw8.jpg http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a246/Paul_Anthony_Robinson/Mobile%20Uploads/20150513_184903_zps84vm1ejn.jpg http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a246/Paul_Anthony_Robinson/Mobile%20Uploads/20150513_184839_zpslx0bzmds.jpg

wileyfz07
If I went this route, I would like to fab up a spacer so that the phone/mount does not cover any of the screen. Looks really good though. I've used RAM products for auto racing, and it's quality goods.

dpc46
I will try and find the boxes it came in. Wife might have thrown it out Did you use the original screw to mount it? Yes I used the original screw. I was worried I wasn't going to have enough thread but there was plenty. One thing I found out after buying is the ball is actually aluminum. I was worried if the ball was plastic it might break. At my store they sold the middle piece in 3 different lengths. I bought the shortest one thru had. I couldn't find the packages they came in or even them online. When I'm in there next I'll get the part numbers.
