IXIL L3XB with EJK can't get the right settings?

Howdy! So I installed the L3XB a few days ago along with the EJK tuner but I can't seem to get rid of that dang snap, crackle, pop from 2000 to 4000 RPM. I literally drove around a parking lot for a half hour trying new settings and still it is still there. Do the rice crispy sounds mean that my bike is running too rich or too lean? If there is anyone who can explain to me why the pops occur I would be grateful for the info just out of curiosity. And has anyone found the perfect setting for the L3XB yet?

Setup
-L3XB with baffles out
-Snorkel removed
-02 sensors disconnected
-White paint job for added horsepower

After getting my EJK it did all the popping as well and I had to take the yellow, 'accelerator fuel' down .50 at a time until it almost completely stopped popping between shifts. I understood that the bikes ran lean from the factory and that the set EJK settings from the factory were maybe giving it too much gas on top of that and so backing off the accelerator gas seems to have improved the performance. I get an occasional pop but I'm much happier.
